Mitch Farr, Senior Project Manager at Natures Image, is the perfect man for the job. A former landscape contractor, he’s the consummate outdoorsman. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, camping and just hanging out at the beach. He loves working in — and improving — natural environments. The opportunity to restore abused and neglected lands is what drew him to Natures Image. But he says it’s the people at Natures Image — all of them working toward the same goal — that have kept him there for more than a decade.
Leaving a legacy
Working at Natures Image gives him a chance to leave a legacy — to help mitigate the damage humans have inflicted on the environment. He is particularly proud of restoring 1,500 acres of habitat at the Matilija Reservoir in Ventura County.
But most of all, his pride and joy are his children: Trevor, 27, and Gillian, 11. Mitch’s family also includes Toby, a 7-year-old cattle dog.
Adaptability is key
The work isn’t easy — it requires adaptability, patience and creativity. More specifically, his duties include:
- Customer Service
- Budget analysis
- Project scheduling, staffing and materials procurement
- Revenue and cost projections
A transplant from Phoenix, he presently lives in Mission Viejo.
